Peter Capaldi is the 12th Doctor

Peter Capaldi is the twelfth Doctor. Apparently Steven Moffat and his staff had the idea that he was going to be the doctor for a while. The best part is Peter seems genuinely excited to be the next doctor. I can’t wait to see what he brings to the table. I forsee a father daughter relationship between him and Clara, which would be very interesting to explore considering her past.

We all knew the time was coming. Over the years there have been 11 doctors on Doctor Who. The 11th Doctor was Matt Smith. On a nerdist podcast (episode 387), Matt Smith discussed that he’d known for a long time that he’d be going after three years.

Matt Smith will be missed, but the world is now ready to see who will be the next doctor. He will be in Ryan Gosling’s How to Catch a Monster.

The live event was hosted by Zoe Ball, and we got to see the 5th Doctor, Peter Davison. A little tidbit, Davison’s daughter is married to David Tennant (11th Doctor).

We now have Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor. Capaldi was recently in World War Z as a W.H.O. Doctor. Maybe that was a little hint. Over the years, he has appeared in numerous shows, including appearing as John Frobisher in Doctor Who’s sister show Torchwood. To see more of his credits check them out here.

Who is your favorite doctor? What are your first impressions of Peter Capaldi? Any thoughts?

    • Yes, he was. They are continuing with pulling well received actors in guesting spots back into the show.

I think I like the idea of having an older doctor again. Though I’m still pulling for a black doctor, or at least a ginger.
