The nominees are in for the 2015 Academy Awards. Who do you think should walk away winners this year? Who do you think was snubbed?

  1. Boyhood looks to have a lock for Best Picture and possibly even Direction. I haven’t seen it, so I can’t really comment on its quality. Julianne Moore may have a lock for Best Supporting Actress, though part of me would like to see Laura Dern get it for Wild. Same for Reese Witherspoon for Best Actress, but I’m hoping to see “Still Alice” so I can see why everyone’s been raving about Julianne Moore. JK Simmons looks to have a lock for Best Supporting Actor, but that could be bias since I loved that film. Second favorite movie of 2014 for me, tied with The Skeleton Twins. Personally, I’d give Best Picture to Whiplash, but that’s just me. Best Actor could come down to Eddie Redmayne and Michael Keaton, I think, but Keaton could possibly get it as this feels like his dramatic comeback period, similar with Matthew McConaughey and Dallas’ Buyers Club last year. The only surprise for me was that Jennifer Anniston didn’t get nominated for “Cake” since I keep hearing rave reviews about her performance.
